What you may know as Freeset and Liminal have ended and have come together to become “Joyya”.
We were previously two closely aligned organizations, but we believe that united we can make even more of a difference in our world. What remains the same is our heart to build communities and transform lives in West Bengal, India.
Together, we want to sustain the very special relationships we have formed with the individuals and families we already work with, but we’re keen to step even deeper into the communities surrounding us too. We hope you’ll come with us as we fight against the injustice of extreme poverty and exploitation.
We’d be foolish to think it was going to be easy, it never has been. But, together we reckon we can give it a good crack! In the words of our mate Shobita, “Dada, amra chesta korte hobe”, “Brother, we must try”.
We hope you’ll join us and a few thousand of the world’s greatest battlers, as we try to make this tough little corner of West Bengal a little bit better.
